Accidental Bath Bomb

I had a great idea to make cute little bath bombs and give them away as gifts.

Trying my best to make it fun for my kids and also turn out cute was a bigger challenge than I thought. Besides the mess, I believe my daughter added a little too much water to the mix. The perfect little round balls started to expand and triple their size. I had great hopes and plans for these. I was very frustrated, to say the least when it wasn’t coming together as planned. I was completely out of ingredients, so making a new batch was out of the question.

Even though I was upset, I didn’t want to waste the ingredients. I decided to let them sit out to dry anyway. I placed them on a drying rack for the night.

When I woke up and checked on them. To my surprise, they stuck to the drying rack and flattened out. Disappointed and sad, I pried them off the drying rack and flipped them over. Still a little wet, I put the abominations in a corner to dry further.

The next day, I realized they actually looked like the shape of cookies. I thought to myself, well I’ll try to decorate them even if it’s for ourselves. I topped them with melted chocolate and added sprinkles.

Wow, these accidental chocolate bath bombs are adorable!

My kids loved taking a bath with it and I’m giving some out with gifts.

This was a lesson for me. No doubt about it!

Sometimes things don’t work out how I want them to, but I know God has a plan. Things will work out how they are supposed to.

This little example made me see a bigger picture and I am thankful that my life is in his hands and not my own.

Don’t lose hope or be discouraged, God has a plan!
