Grilled Peaches
This tasty peach dessert is a fabulous treat for a hot summer day!
Since it’s peach season, my grandmother bought a ton of peaches from a fruit truck and she had an abundance in her refrigerator.
Although peaches are wonderful by themselves, I always wanted to try baked peaches with ice cream, so I suggested if she needed a way to use up some of her peaches, she could bake a few for a great dessert. When she responded, “Should we make some?” I thought about how great it sounded, but it was so HOT ? outside. With no air conditioning, the oven would just make it miserable inside.
My grandma being her clever self said, “We could grill them?”
I was so confused. I thought no way, how would we do that?
I am not a griller, at this point in my life anyway, I like to bake and cook things in the comfort of my home.
No way would I even attempt to start a grill without supervision. ?
She laughed and said, “We just grill them like we would bake them in the oven!
She fired up her grill, and I prepared the peaches!
AND…….. They were wonderful!
Rather bake them? Same recipe just preheat and bake them at 350 degrees!
