If you haven’t seen the NIrV Adventure Bible for Early Readers, a Bible for kids, from Zondervan, you’ve got to check it out!
This is the best Bible for kids that I have ever seen!
It’s a beautiful, thick, hard cover book with easy to read words and a nice size font that’s well suited for ages 6 to 10 but any age can appreciate it. Inside the book, it has great illustrations, articles, fun facts, activities, a dictionary, maps, and more fun sections scattered throughout the pages!
We have been using the Adventure Bible for our daily Bible study. The additional sections are an exciting way to pause and further discuss what we are reading. They help keep my kids focused and engaged for learning.
During our Bible study, I have been reading the Bible chapters and then my 6-year-old reads the pop-up text. We take the time discuss what we read and participate in the activities together.
An example of one of the activities found in the “Live It!” section is writing a message to God. Reflecting on Genesis 1:26-27, we can recognize how special we are to Him, and thank Him for His love.
In addition to the “Live It!” section, there are lots of other great pop-up sections found throughout this Bible. In these colorful bubbles, kids can practice Bible verse memorization, read about amazing people, learn fun facts, and enjoy interesting articles.
My daughters favorite part of this book is the full colored pages with safari themed illustrations. They have fun information that help kids explore the Bible further. One of these pages lists popular questions with a verse to look up and read to find the answer. My daughter was very excited to read the questions and look for the answers. It was almost like a scavenger hunt for her. Not only did she find answers to questions she had, but she was also familiarizing herself with the different books of the Bible by navigating through the pages.
If you are looking for a special gift for a child or know of a child that needs a Bible, I can’t recommend this one enough!
