For the last few weeks, my daughter has been using Educo Learning Center from Educo International Inc. for her 1st grade math class.

During our homeschool days, we use either the online program and/or the accompanying workbook. My daughter likes to use the workbook more because she is not too familiar with computers.

When we started the online program, she needed help from me on dragging numbers or typing answers. However, after using this program a few times, she is much better at using it and can do most of the assignments, quizzes and tests by herself.

For us, it’s nice to do the assignments in the workbook and the quizzes or tests online.

The workbook has 138 worksheets that are in full color. It is written with easy to read explanations, great examples, and plenty of room for answers.

The online program has practice pages, quizzes, and tests with an instant progress report. Users can see grades and progress and review questions immediately following their task. This is so helpful for testing your child’s knowledge and to see what areas need improvement.

Some of the topics found in the 1st grade learning center are adding and subtracting, shapes, measuring, patterns, graphs, and more.

I love how each subject is explained using different techniques and mathematical terms. Children get exposed to a variety of methods they can use to solve problems and are familiar with the proper terms used.
