Upon arrival of the Art of the Middle Ages book, I flipped through the book and was excited to get started on our art class.

Immediately, I could tell that this hardcover book was made with quality by the thick glossy paper, vivid colors, and beautiful images throughout.

On the inside of the cover, there are two plastic sleeves to conveniently hold both the DVD and the Blu-ray disks.

Instruction

There are 18 projects in this book and it incorporates both text and video lessons.

In the textbook, we can find thorough history lessons and learn new art vocabulary for this time period. The information is taught in easy to understand Manner with questions that help engage the students. The book has plenty of photographs that show clear examples of what is being taught and steps to complete the projects.

The video instruction shows how to use the materials by watching how the project is created. As we watched the video, we followed along while they were making the projects. Occasionally pausing it to finish our artwork.

So, what did we think about it?

As a mom and a teacher, I absolutely loved the art history and examples throughout the textbook. I really appreciate the videos to make sure we are doing the projects correctly and for additional support.

My kids, they loved the art projects we had a lot of fun and look forward to doing more!
