So many people use toilet paper rolls for crafts, and I can see why. They are sturdy, easy to cut and decorate, and it’s a good way to recycle. We made a cute Bumble Bee Valentine’s Day craft in little time and it can be filled with treats, notes, pencils or anything your heart desires. Hap Bee Valentines Day!
Bumble Bee Toilet Paper Roll Craft
We made this for a Valentine's Day. It is a cute gift that was simple to make and can be filled or just add a nice note inside.
Materials
- 1 Empty Toilet Paper Roll
- 1 piece Paper
- Acrylic Paint
- Elmer's Glue
- optional glitter
- optional google eyes
Instructions
- Step 1: Cut 3 pieces 1/4 inch off the top of the roll
- Step 2: Paint the roll yellow with black stripes like a Bumble Bee.
- Step 3: Add glue to the paper about the size and diameter of the roll. Than, place one of the 1/4" pieces on it and shape it like a heart or wing and repeat with one more 1/4" piece. Add glitter inside your wings.
- Step 4: Using the last 1/4" piece, cut it in half and than cut it to look like antenna. We made hearts at the tips.
- Step 5: Cut the paper around the wings and glue them to the roll.
- Step 6: Paint the antennas black and glue them to the inside of the roll.
- Step 7: Add any finishing touches Such as a smile, google eyes, maybe make a note to roll up and put inside.
