Everybody, Always for Kids

Disclosure: I received this complimentary product through the Homeschool Review Crew.

For the last few weeks, we have been reading the book, Everybody, Always for Kids by Bob Goff and his daughter Lindsey Goff Viducich by Tommy Nelson Publishing.

When it first arrived, I was immediately impressed by this beautiful hardcover book. It comes with a pretty blue ribbon to mark your place and the pages are made with thick glossy paper. The overall quality is great.

Illustrations Everybody Always

As you can see, there are bright and uplifting colors used throughout the book with illustrations that attract young readers. When my daughter saw the artwork she couldn’t wait to get started reading.

Each of the 40 short stories uncovers a particular lesson on loving people in fun and unique ways. I love the idea behind this book and the encouragement each story brings.

The book is aimed at helping kids see how loving others has an impact on the people around them. Throughout the book, readers can recognize how Bob Goff applied his knowledge of Jesus and scriptures to real-life scenarios. Using kind words, helping others, and practicing patience are just a few of the ways he demonstrated love.

We have been reading this book as a family for our nighttime story before bed. It’s a great way for us to connect and build our characters as a family. My 5-year-old and I take turns asking questions and giving answers about the people in the story, the situations taking place, and how their lives were made better by the positive attitudes and loving gestures.

As a bonus, we received a five-day downloadable lesson plan that correlates with the stories in the book. The lesson plan is a fun way to put what we learned about love into action.

The questions in the plan, help us to reflect on what we read and encourage deeper thoughts and understanding of what was happening in the story.

As you can see from the picture above, the activities are hands-on and a wonderful way to take action on how we can show love throughout the day.

In conclusion, I am overly happy with Everybody, Always for Kids! It is just what I have been wanting to share and teach my kids about kindness and loving others the way Jesus does. The stories not only show my kids good examples, but I also remember the positive actions that took place and use it in my life as well. For example, Bob brought a bucket around with him as a reminder to have patience with others, and I remind myself that I need to have a bucket of patience.

Thanks for reading, I think this book could benefit everyone but you don’t have to take it from me, click the graphic below to read the reviews of other families.
