I was given the opportunity to try SchoolhouseTeachers.com and I am excited to share my experience with you. This website has a complete curriculum for Preschool students through 12th grade. This includes a wide range of courses delivered online that can be downloaded, printed, watched as video content, and they are starting to make courses with interactive content for students. I was able to try the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership and I’ll share with you how my family used it.

First off, SchoolhouseTeachers.com offers the flexibility to create your own complete curriculum for everyone in your family and it’s all for the same price. It’s really awesome! I made a weekly schedule through their customized schedule builder and it includes all the major subjects. Each coarse offers detailed lessons plans to follow or use as a guideline if you choose to but again we have flexibility to use the material anyway we want. I really like how they have neat planning tools to use such as Daily planners, calendars, record keeping, certificates and checklists to keep you organized and on track.

After I printed a weekly schedule, I wanted to fill in each subject with courses that would be a good fit for our family. I found so many really good kindergarten courses I ended up using material from a few different courses in each subject. I just scrolled through the coarse material and printed what I wanted to use or took notes of where it was so I could come back to it later. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the content available to use and I could not wait to get started.

Furthermore, we found that the video library was a great resource for us. We watched shows like Donkey Ollie or the Bed Bug Bible Gang for part of our bible studies. In our house, we try not to have too much screen time but the video content was very entertaining and I found it to be great for independent learning. Other sources of independent learning were made available through the worksheets that I found and printed in the courses. We were able to learn from at least 3 subject areas daily at SchoolhouseTeachers.com.

Finally, we thoroughly enjoyed our quality learning time together. Even though most of the courses we worked on were for my kindergartener, I learned things right along with her. I learned things from why we use And decorate Christmas trees to new ways and techniques for teaching different subjects areas. I also want to mention they have classes just for parents! I read through them and I am impressed on how much content is available just for adults. Some courses that struck my interests were classes on personal and relationship growth, organizational tips, and even crafts!
