If you are looking for a fun and educational online game, check out Baggin’ the Dragon Maths Online from EdAlive.
How it works:
In this online game, players answer math questions to earn courage swords, and gadgets to win against their opponents and fight a dragon. It’s designed like a board game with a die to roll, spaces to move around, and players use strategies to get ahead of their opponents.
There are so many customizable options for students that make each experience unique. Players can choose their character, game board, game length, and whether they want to play against others or a computer.
When students answer questions correctly, they earn strength. Their strength can be used to purchase different types of fun gadgets with special features that help them win. Like this villain below:
What my 5-year-old thinks:
My daughter looks forward to earning swords and seeing what kind of gadget she can buy with the amount of strength she got from answering questions correctly. Although many of the questions were too difficult for her, there is an option to get a new question if it’s too hard. I really like that feature because it encourages kids to keep trying and not give up when they receive a difficult question. She looks forward to seeing a short dragon video at the end of the game and especially if she won.
What I Think:
I love the variety of questions asked from graphs and patterns to addition and numeration. I enjoy watching my daughter play and practice math problems. She normally tries her best to avoid math problems and when I see her enjoying this game it makes me very happy. The reports I can view after she plays a game are helpful to see her strengths and weaknesses. I can focus on areas that are more difficult for her and watch her improve.
If you are looking for a fun way to incorporate mouse problems in your home school, I suggest giving this game a try. You don’t have to take my word for it, they offer a free trial on their website and you can read more reviews from other families by clicking below.
Have a wonderful day!
