Buck 1st bank account

My 1st grader and I recently read BUCK FIRST BANK ACCOUNT from Buck Academy.

Written by Dustin Goss and illustrated by Febyolla Goss, this is a great educational book on opening your first bank account.

Although we had already opened a savings account for my daughter, this book explains finances better than I ever could! Using colorful pictures and fun fonts, it connects to children and ignites their interest.

First, the book goes through details on why you would want a bank account and which type fits your needs. It answers questions like Why would you want to save your money?; What’s the difference between a checking and savings account?; and how do you spend your money when it’s in the bank?; in a simple and efficient way.

Secondly, Buck First Bank Account explains what you will need to open your account and what to expect while you’re there. I love how it goes through the details of the requirements needed such as identification. Also, reviewing what to expect at the bank helps kids be prepared and ease any anxiety that they might have.

Finally, this book discusses finding the right bank for you! I love how it teaches kids to think about what options and features different banks have and to search for one that fits their needs. They even give a wonderful bank account comparison and assessment sheets!

I wish I had this book before we got my daughter her first bank account, but I am so glad we have it now! It’s difficult for me to explain how banks work and this book is so incredibly informative.
