Homemade Calzone
I love Calzones!
They are another favorite dinner of mine. All you need is a pizza dough, cheese (preferably ricotta and mozzarella) and any fillings you want. Its pretty simple and a fun change to the same old dinners. Serve with some marinara sauce and smiles!

Calzone
Homemade calzone is easy and a family favorite. Make it with your favorite pizza crust and fillings.
Course dinner, supper
Ingredients
- 1 large pizza dough homemade or bought
- 1-2 Cups Ricotta
- 2 Cups Shredded Cheese
- 1 tsp Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Basil
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1 TBS Olive oil
- Optional filling and/or marinara to top. pepperoni, sausage, greens, peppers,…
Instructions
- Preheat oven 450°
- Spread out prepared pizza crust dough.
- In a mixing bowl, Mix together cheese's and spices.
- Spread cheese mixture on half of the dough. Leaving about 1/2 an inch around the edges.
- Add any filling you want.
- Fold your dough over the filling. and pinch the edges to close.
- Drizzle olive oil on the top or with a basting/pastry brush.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until your crust is golden brown.
- Cut and serve with marinara sauce. Enjoy!
