Calzone
Homemade calzone is easy and a family favorite. Make it with your favorite pizza crust and fillings.
- 1 large pizza dough homemade or bought
- 1-2 Cups Ricotta
- 2 Cups Shredded Cheese
- 1 tsp Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Basil
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1 TBS Olive oil
- Optional filling and/or marinara to top. pepperoni, sausage, greens, peppers,...
Preheat oven 450°
Spread out prepared pizza crust dough.
In a mixing bowl, Mix together cheese's and spices.
Spread cheese mixture on half of the dough. Leaving about 1/2 an inch around the edges.
Add any filling you want.
Fold your dough over the filling. and pinch the edges to close.
Drizzle olive oil on the top or with a basting/pastry brush.
Bake for about 20 minutes or until your crust is golden brown.
Cut and serve with marinara sauce. Enjoy!
