For the last several weeks, my family has been enjoying Jonathan Park – The Adventure Begins Series 1.
The stories are action-packed and full of adventures that provide evidence of our creator through scientific facts and observations. Not only does the series defend the Christian faith, but it also builds courage and strengthens it.
My family started listening to the first story, The Secret of the Hidden Cave, during an evening screen-free time. We sat together with a cup of hot chocolate and listened to the first episode. It was a great experience!
After listening to one episode, we couldn’t wait to hear the next one, so we continued to listen to all 3 episodes in the album. Each episode is a little less than 30 minutes so the entire CD didn’t take too long to finish.
Next, we listened to the rest of the series with African Safari, Art Heist Adventure, and Mystery at Dead Mans Curve, one episode at a time for a nighttime adventure before bed. These stories although they aren’t true, weave scientific facts into the faith-based audio drama.
The actors and sound effects are great!
There isn’t a narrator and it’s not a story being read to the listeners, it’s closer to a movie or a play. The stories are acted out and come to life by tapping into the listener’s imagination as they hear the stories unfold.
More than an audiobook, it’s an audio adventure!
