My daughter has been using Math Mammoth Grade 1 for her homeschool math curriculum and it has been a convenient resource for us.
The complete curriculum has everything needed for 1st grade from addition and subtraction to telling time and more. It can be easily downloaded and printed as needed. For additional support, Math Mammoth offers videos that correspond with the material and practice activities right on their website.
I love the ease of being able to print the day’s math work and watch my daughter work on it. She can do most worksheets completely independently allowing me a little extra time for other things.
The curriculum itself is broken up into 2 worktexts, Grade 1-A and Grade 1-B. In each worktext, there’s a variety of subjects that are separated by chapters.
Each of the chapters starts with information for the parent or teacher along with helpful links to additional resources for further practice and have fun. Then they continue on to the worksheets for the student to complete.
The worksheets are written directly to the students. They learn and practice right from the book so their teachers don’t have a separate instruction manual! However, there is a separate file with the answers in it.
We like the images, detailed descriptions, and examples found throughout the pages. The math problems are easy to understand and gradually get more difficult as the student works through the materials.
In addition to the Complete Grade 1 curriculum, we received Math Mammoth Blue Series – Measuring 1.
This workbook is great for extra practice on measuring. It has lots of measuring assignments and activities to master measuring using a ruler and items found around the house.
We have been enjoying the activities in this worktext. My daughter wanted to do more pages because she thought they were fun.
