Progeny Press guides are a great resource for literature unit studies, so we were excited to receive the The Story of Ping Study Guide to review.

Like other study guides from Progeny Press, this study guide comes as a PDF download that can be used online with interactive fill-in features with Adobe or easily printed out to write on.

Since my child is in 2nd grade, I chose to print out the pages and use the worksheets as part of her writing practice. Instead of printing all the pages at once, we only printed the pages we were going to work on at that time.

We found that the study guide is a wonderful way to dive deep into the story. It includes observational questions, helps students notice biblical ties and messages, adds additional research on ducks, activates critical thinking, and offers fun activities.

In addition, Progeny Press allows us to use these study guides for multiple students. I printed 2 copies of a few worksheets so that my 3-year-old could participate as well. She got a coloring sheet and maze to work on while my second grader worked on the rest of the worksheets.

After going through this study guide, we not only know The Story of Ping well, but we also learned about ducks, worked on language arts skills, had plenty of reading and writing practice, and enjoyed activities throughout the worksheets.

This study guide is a wonderful unit study and educational resource for families with elementary students, however, Progeny Press also offers awesome study guides for other books and all ages.

Don’t have the book?

No problem. I didn’t either, I just rented one from the library!

The Story of Ping Study Guide is way more than just a guide, it’s a curriculum with weeks of great learning content.

If you want to change up your current curriculum or add a fun unit study to your homeschool, I highly recommend The Story of Ping Study Guide.

Thank you for reading,

Have a wonderful day!
