Bacon Wrapped Venison Stuffed with Blue Cheese
Easy venison appetizer that will please a crowd. These are so yummy! My pictures don't do them justice but I just have to share.
Course Appetizer, hors d'oeuvre
- 5 oz Blue cheese
- 1-2 lbs Venison steaks or chops
- 1 lb Bacon
Step 1: Slice the venison lengthwise but not all the way through. You want to create a pocket
Step 2: Fill your venison steaks with blue cheese
Step 3: Wrap the stuffed steaks with bacon.
Step 4: Place the bacon wrapped steaks on a broiling pan and broil in the oven at 500° for 10 minutes
Step 5: Take your pan out of the oven, they should be starting to look nice and crispy. with a fork or spatula carefully flip the steaks and broil at 500° for an additional 10 minutes.
Step 6: Take them out of the oven and serve!
