Bats and Cats craft

Need a fun Halloween-themed arts and crafts idea?

These fun toilet paper roll activities can be made with just a few supplies and it didn’t take long at all.

Give them as gifts or keep them as decorations, these are fun for all ages to make!

Supplies Needed:

  • Empty Toilet Paper
  • Paint Any Color
  • Paintbrush
  • Cup of Water (for washing your paintbrush)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black Construction Paper
  • Google Eyes
  • White Paper or white paint (for making teeth)
  • Pink crayon or paint (for the cats mouth)
Bat Crafts

TO MAKE A BAT:

Step 1: Using your empty toilet paper roll, bend the top sides in to make ears.

Step 2: Paint your bat’s body.

Step 3: Using the black construction paper, cut a circle around 4 inches in diameter.

Step 4: Cut the circle down the center in a zig-zag pattern to create your bat wings.

Step 5: Glue your wings on the back of your bat’s body.

Step 6: Glue on your google eyes.

Step 7: Cut out 2 little teeth from your white paper and glue them on or paint your teeth on the bats body.

TO MAKE A CAT:

Cat Craft

Step 1: Using your empty toilet paper roll, bend the middle top sides in to make ears.

Step 2: Paint your cat’s body.

Step 3: Glue on google eyes or paint your own!

Step 4: Draw or paint in a nose and mouth.

Step 5: Cut out tiny strips of black paper for cute whiskers and glue them on.

Optional:

1: Cut a tail out of black construction paper and glue it on the back.

2: Add a string, ribbon, or paint on a collar.

These are perfect for stuffing with notes, candy, or any kind of fun surprise.

However, they are a great activity and cute little decorations just the way they are!
