Jesus Tomb Easter Craft
Here’s a fun Easter craft we did along with our Bible study of the resurrection of Jesus. If you are looking for a fun Easter craft, you might enjoy this one!
It’s simple, fun, and meaningful with just a few art supplies!
What you’ll need:
- Construction paper (black, white, or gray to make a tomb and rock)
- Scissors
- Crayons or markers.
- Optional brass fasteners
Now the fun part!
Step 1: Cut out a large rounded shape out of the construction paper, like the picture below, to represent Jesus’s tomb.
Step 2: Make an entryway to the tomb. Using crayons, markers, or paint, color the entryway black for the dark place His body was placed in.
Step 3: Cut out a round rock big enough to cover the entryway.
Step 3: Color the tomb and rock.
Step 4: Add a fastener to allow the rock to cover the tomb and be rolled away. A staple or tape in the corner will also work as a flap to open and shut.
Step 5: Read the Bible telling the story of His empty tomb!
My daughter wanted to cut out His cloths and place it in the empty tomb.
She also made an angel and a couple ladies that saw the tomb and made a reenactment.
“The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying. Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”” Matthew 28:5-7 WEB
We had fun making this and hope you enjoy this craft too!
Have a wonderful day!
