For the last several weeks, we have been using a homeschool spelling curriculum called Superstar Spelling from The Crafty Classroom.
This program makes spelling fun for kids. You get 30 pages of customized activities and games to help kids learn how to new spell words.
It comes in a downloadable pdf and is used with Adobe Reader (free download included) to make the worksheets editable. We can type in 20 words of our choice into word blocks. Which allows the word list to be as easy or difficult as we want them to be.
The word blocks automatically enter the words to all of the other pages in the spelling curriculum. Isn’t that great? I loved seeing all the words update throughout the worksheets.
Each page is unique and touches on different learning methods. Some pages are for writing practice, some are spell out loud, and others have an exciting twist like stamping.
We had a great time practicing words together. I used words my daughter often asked me how to spell such as animals and family names. My favorite worksheet was the battleship game, but we enjoyed quite a few.
